Welcome to the wide crazy world of TJ Klune

As you can see, this is a blog (a blog, you say? You're like the only person in the world that has one!). Here are my promises to you: I promise to up date this as much as I can. I promise that at some point, you will most likely be offended. I promise you may suffer from the affliction the Klunatics know as Wookie Cry Face. I also promise to make this some place where you can see how my mind works.

You've been warned.

RELEASE DAY!!!!!!!!!!

You've been patient with me as I've teased you for months. Well, now you can see for yourselves what all of the fuss was about. I am so terribly pleased to be able to say that my second novel, Burn, is now available for purchase. I hope you enjoy Seven and Felix, in addition to the rest of the Guardians Circle: Otis, Dan, Edna, Jason, Amy and the Clock Twins. Are you ready to Burn?

Set in a world that closely resembles our own, Burn is a story of redemption and betrayal, of family and sacrifice, which leads to the greatest question of all: how far would you go to save the ones you love?

Fifteen years ago, Felix Paracel killed his mother with fire that shot from his hands. Since then, he has hidden from forces bent on exploiting him and his fire and wind Elemental abilities. But Felix’s world is about to change, because he is Findo Unum—the Split One—and his coming has been foretold for generations.

Though Felix’s arrival brings great joy to the Elemental world, it also heralds a coming darkness. No one knows this better than Seven, the mysterious man who rescued Felix from that horrible fire years ago and then disappeared... who now has returned to claim what’s rightfully his: Felix’s heart. But even as Felix begins to trust Seven and his feelings about his place in the world, the darkness reveals itself, bringing consequences no one could have predicted.

    2. Oh wow! That ending was indeed heart wrenching. Gah! Awesome worldbuilding and character depth. Definitely didn't figure out the betrayer beforehand and that broke my heart too! Damn you for turning me into an emotional puddle! :D

    3. ****SPOILER FOR THOSE THAT HAVEN'T FINISHED!!! LOOK AWAY****That's what I'm hearing so far, lol, the "infamous" chapter 11. I figured well in advance (and it has seemed rightly so, with the response I've gotten)that that reveal would be shocking. That person was always going to be that way, I knew from the beginning of the story and it was heart breaking for me to right, but one that I knew would cause the end of the story to mean that much more. I am so happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading!!

  3. I just finished Burn, not even five minutes ago. I could not put it down and read it straight through to the end. I loved it. I can not wait for book two.

I have read both of your books, BOATK and Burn are on my list of books I will read again and regularly. Just wanted to let you know that you have a reader for as long as you continue to write.

  7. Hi there! I just finished reading 'Burn' and wanted to send a comment your way, full of gush and fangirlyness! ^_~ I've had your first book, BOATK, on my 'to-read' list for a while now, but decided to read 'Burn' first since it just popped out at me. Let me tell you, you've made a fan out of me! I absolutely loved this book, even if you did make me madder than hell with all of the drama throughout this book and the damn cliffy at the end (which I know was your intention, you evil writer you)! Nearly killed me! Shows how good of a writer you are, believe me. I am no easy reader to win over. But you have, and I'll will be reading BOATK shortly because of it. I truly hope the sequel to 'Burn' will be conjured up soon by your delightfully wicked, warped, and twisted muse. ^_~ I'll definitely be waiting for it! Awesome job, TJ. Just awesome!

  8. Hey, ReinM! Thanks so much for reading Burn, and I hope you enjoy BOATK. Obviously they are two completely different books, but Bear and the boys got me started on this crazy ass journey I've been on since last year, and I love them to pieces. And yes, that damn cliffhanger has been consternation to many a reader (I've received a few death threats about needing to release the next book like NOW, lol) And I hope Burn II will knock your socks off (of course, I have to finish it first)

  9. Hello,

I finished Burn last night, was really good! I read it all in just one stretch just like BOATK, which was a fantastic read too!
For some reason the dialogue btw T&T reminded me of how Gollum talks to him self I really enjoyed that.
Looking fwd to both the sequel of BOATK and Burn 2, so please do burn the midnight oil! lol just kidding but am really looking fwd to both books.

    1. Hey Kalpana! I am so glad you enjoyed Burn and BOATK! And in one stretch too, now that's impressive, lol. And I really like your parallel of Tick and Tock and Gollum; that's a thought I never had before but it strangely fits.

And you will get the BOATK sequel in a couple of months so hang in there!

  12. Burn is one fantastic book, thank you for writing it. I plan on finishing it tonight. I was looking you up as an author---I assumed you to be a woman( my fault), they usually love to write this kind of fantasies ^_^.
